Something I learnt about the beautiful ballet dancers in his paintings…
They often came from poor families trying to etch a living for themselves through this arduous art form…
Degas often put in silhouettes of men in black in his dancers paintings..
They were wealthy patrons preying on the young dancers…
We have to continue to help educate and empower young girls so they have choices and don’t become victims in their own economic situations.. I want to give a shout-out to all parents who raise their daughters with the same fairness as their sons.. ❤️😊🌙
