8/49 Hoarding Art Commission...

There are certain songs I don't care to play
For the memories they evoke I no longer need revisit
There was a time when it would take 5-6 upbeat songs before I got lifted out of darkness
Looking back now...
I am so proud of myself I used that little ounce of will
To put those songs on and lace up my shoes..
At first I would have had to drag my feet to dance to exercise
But my feet finally got caught up to speed
My heavy spirit would unfurl in an upward swirl
Letting the songs stitch my soul together

Otherwise, I would have to sequester myself anyways to get some work done...
Been selected to create paintings for a 182' x 8' hoarding around a condominium construction site...
