Daughter called from Paris last Thurs:
"Hey Mom, let's facechat on Sun. when I get to Lisbon!"
Me: " You're there to enjoy Lisbon with your friends, just go out and have fun and take lots of pics for me.. we can chat after"
Daughter: " But Mom, I want to call you for Mother's Day!"
Me: 'OH! OK! I know you love love me but sure, if you like."
Daughter email from Lisbon:
"Hey Mom, won't be calling: my phone dropped out of my pocket into the Seine.."
SIGH... guess where her summer's job first pay check is going?
I always like to glean lessons from every unfortunate event
Which then makes it a fortunate event for a valuable lesson learnt..
"ENJOY ALL OPEN WATERS BUT KEEP YOUR POCKETS ZIPPED UP..."
