Is claimed to have remained intact from 600 years ago!
The Monpazier villagers wandered one night during the Hundred Years war
To plunder the neighboring town of Villefranche-du-Perigord
Which seemed eerily quiet.
Reason was becos the villagers of Villefranche-du-Perigord
Had gone to plunder Monpazier itself that same night
They then decided to return each other's loot..
Hope they had a little laff about it all too.. lol
