Seeing my work hanging in a public space..
A lady reached out to commission me for a couple of paintings..
When she came to collect her paintings..
Learnt that she is Polish and has family in Poland ..
She had had plans to visit Ukraine having found a local Ukrainian tour guide…
I would have loved the name of this personal tour guide myself!
My client has no contact with this tour guide at this time..
Who I hope is all right…
But her pride in showing off her country has been pulverized into nothingness…
I asked my client to convey our thanks and gratitude to her Polish friends & family on our behalf ..
For looking after the Ukrainian refugees…
We can make financial donations…
But they are donating finances, time, warm beds, hot food, listening ears, open compassionate hearts, shoulders to cry on…
Bless all surrounding European countries opening their hearts and homes to the Ukrainian people fleeing from their pulverized beloved country … 🙏🏽☮️🇺🇦🌻💙💛🕊
